Suspensions (cushions) are the essential part for the maneuverability of the skate. Without them, the skate would not perform edges and turns, and the skater could not maintain balance on the skates. The suspensions on STD Skates are made of elastomeric urethane. The special design is complemented by the different hardnesses distinguishable by their color so that they adapt in each skate to the weight and power of the athlete. The hardness of the suspensions installed on our STD skate frames are determined by the STD factory in Spain, but if other combinations are desired, you or your pro are responsible for the mix.
