Roll Line Spin
The Roll-Line SPIN plate, designed for figures and loops, presents an innovative angle of the kingpins. The new machining ensures less twisting and an immediate response to the pressures received during the exercises. The Roll-Line SPIN takes advantage of its NEW innovative design utilizing a wider angle steering mechanism and ultra lightweight structure.
- Click-action adjustment system.
- Trucks with steel axles.
- Suspensions in natural rubber, with an additional set of elastomer suspensions included.
- Standard wrenches set included.
- Elastomer suspensions with an additional spare set included.
- 7mm axles
- 7mm wheel spacers and mounting hardware are not included.
The Roll-Line SPIN is very similar to the action of the original Hodura Skate, only better. Many of the top U.S. Figure Skaters are using the SPIN for Loops, with great success.
The Roll-Line SPIN IS similar to the DANCE Skate Frame (except without a Toe Stop) and very slightly dialed back responsiveness to help create more stability. The Roll-Line SPIN is also wonderfully great for dance, recreational, and rhythm skating, where there is a desire to NOT have a toe stop and there is a great need for weaving and bobbing and quick changes of directions and edges. The design and materials of Roll-Line skate frames provides all athletes the proper support of the skate boot and gives the most sensitive control, the greatest and absolute fastest response available from any skate, providing a sense of great stability and action.
The Roll-Line SPIN is forged from a solid bar of Ergal aluminum alloy and completely CNC machined.
Ergal is one of the strongest and lightest aluminum alloys available and has a lower expansion coefficient and offers the best coiled-spring response.
The Roll-Line Click Action adjustment system provides optimum, accurate, articulate, and consistent action. The Roll-Line SPIN features the strongest steel axles available, adjustable pivot pins and does not have a toe stop mount.
Roll-Line natural rubber and urethane suspensions both provide incredibly quick and fluid energy transmission from the foot through the skate to the skating surface.
The Upper (Large) Suspension provides the stability of the edge, while the Lower (Small) Suspension creates the deep edges, great turns and loops. The suspensions for figures can be mixed and matched in both rubber and urethane and in hardnesses to provide a VERY custom skate action.
For LOOPS it is sometimes suggested to use an appropriate flexible upper (large) suspension, considering the skaters height and weight and the small diameter loops being skated, with the lower (small) suspension configured two (2) levels harder. This configuration provides a skate that reacts and feels like the old and no longer available Hodura skate frame.
The list below is from most flexible to hardest and integrates rubber and urethane suspensions.
- Green Rubber = Flexible
- Natural (Brown) Rubber = Medium
- Grey Urethane = Flexible
- Yellow Rubber= Hard
- Clear Blue Urethane = Medium
- Clear Urethane = Hard
- Clear Yellow Urethane = Extra Hard
