Bont ABEC7 Racing Bearings
- Description
The Bont ABEC 7 skate bearing has been extensively tested on elite roller derby skaters. When you are skating on your skate bearings, especially in plastic hub wheels, bearings can warp which slows them down. Thankfully, the Bont ABEC7 roller skate bearing is made from high-strength steel which minimizes this effect and keeps the shape of the bearing as round as possible which decreases rolling resistance at high speeds.
The double shields assist in keeping the dust and dirt out of the bearing. With exceptionally low rolling resistance and pre-lubricated with a light racing oil, you are competition-ready straight out of the box!

Are you looking to buy the best roller skate bearings on the market? The Bont ABEC 7 bearing has tighter tolerances than the ABEC 5 bearing making it a slightly faster skate bearing. Making a bearing faster includes a number of factors including the material it is made from, the tolerance between the ball and outer race, how round the balls are, and the lubricant used. As these roller skate bearings were designed specifically for skating, we have taken all of these factors into consideration when designing our ABEC 7 roller skate bearing.
Is it better to have more or fewer balls in a skate bearing? We have found no difference in our testing. More balls spread the load but also cause more rolling resistance from having more balls. Having 7 or 9 balls does not seem to make any impact on the speed you can achieve while skating on the bearings.
